The Kano State Goveror is free at last as a result of lack of evidence to the bribery allegation leveled against him.
A Federal High Court sitting in Kano State has dismissed a bribery suit against Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, for lack of evidence.
Recall that a video once went viral about how Ganduje was caught on camera hiding wads of currency notes in his cap as alleged. The footages were however not explicit as the video was not in detail.
The development prompted a suit that demanded further investigation into the matter.
The suit was filed by a Kano-based lawyer, Bulama Bukarti.
The lawyer’s prayer was for the court to mandate the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate Ganduje for allegedly receiving a bribe from a contractor as the video suggested.
With the verdict, Ganduje is let off the hook except for any other suit.
