The House of Representatives candidate for All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Ogbaru Federal Constituency in 2023 general election, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, has expressed optimism that he would clinch victory on February 25 election.
Speaking when he hosted his campaign solidarity groups in his country home at Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, Awogu said APGA would win the election resoundingly.
“We will sing victory song. We must all go to Abuja. We have records of what we have done in the past. All the people who have followed us since 14 years can testify and that is why they are still with us and will still be with us.”
He said the meeting was to strategise on how the support groups would be involved in the election work.
Awogu declared that the ambition to represent Ogbaru Federal Constituency was not premised on his selfish interest but to bring the much eluded development in Ogbaru Federal Constituency.
“We will focus on Ogbaru challenges; lack of good roads, no industries, high rate of maternal mortality. This time they will hear from Ogbaru people. I will contribute to the debate in the House in an eloquent manner,” said Awogu.
He expressed hope that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security operatives would be impartial this tine, urging the people to secure their votes on the election day.
The chairman of APGA in Ogbaru Local Government, Mr. Nnamdi Ifejika, assured that everybody would be engaged in the election duty but warned that whatever anybody is doing, casting votes is the first.
“One vote matters. There is no other way to remove these people except through your votes. This is our time. It is now the turn of Arinze. One person should not be allowed to hijack the Ogbaru Federal Constituency,” he concluded.
