Anambra State Panel on Police brutality to conclude findings soon

The Anambra Judicial Panel on Police Brutality and Other Related Matters will soon conclude its work.
A competent source close to the panel headed by Justice J.V.N Umeh, said the panel has heard, investigated and considered the entire 310 petitions submitted to it.
The Anambra State Panel, according to the source, which received the highest number of petitions in the country is currently making its findings and reaching conclusions.

The source said Justice Umeh led Panel has vowed to do justice to all the petitions and complaints before it, “the Panel is committed to living up to mandate given to it.”
“We want to reassure victims of Police brutality in Anambra State that all petitions before us will be judiciously adjudicated based on merit. The tears of genuine Police brutality will definitely be wiped away.”

The citizens, said the source, should exercise patience as the panel was working relentlessly to ensure thorough and speedy completion of the national assignment.
The End SARS Panel was set up by the Governors of each State in the country on the directive of the Federal Government during the End SARS Protest to determine the extent of Police brutality in each of the state
The Lagos State Panel was the first to complete its assignment indicting Police and the Nigerian Army for killing about nine of the protesters and injured several others at Lekki Toll Gate protest.
Lagos State however has rejected that there was killings in its white paper.
