I returned to APGA because of Soludo – Ezeanuna

A former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain who has now crossed over to All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Zeribe Ezeanuna, has lauded the decision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to develop Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Ezeanuna who is now House of Assembly Aspirant said after completing Okpoko, it will be a reference point of what Governor Soludo can do.
“That is why all hands must be on deck for Soludo to succeed. It will be the biggest real estate, East of the Niger. The project has to happen so that we can bring back the human resources who trooped from Anambra to Asaba”.
Continuing, “We need to continue the development of Anambra State. We are losing businesses and human resources to Asaba, These are our oil wells.”
Zeribe said that redevelopment of Okpoko does not mean flushing out the residents as many believe, rather working with the community. He stressed that Governor Soludo would not demolish Okpoko in the process as many imply.
He assured that if there is anything that would go down, the owners would be compensated adequately, provided they have the required documents.
“The poor are part and parcel of redevelopment except any person who wants to leave. The person can leave but you know Okpoko is a unique town”.

Zeribe who is an APGA aspirant for Okpoko State Constituency said he returned to APGA because of Prof. Soludo’ s commitment to redevelop Okpoko.

But Zeribe as expected said his House of Assembly ambition is facing formidable opposition, not from APGA but his former party, PDP, which is sponsoring some aspirants in APGA against him.

He however expressed confidence that the leadership of the party and the governor will do the right thing to select the right person who can deliver the party in the election.

“APGA lost a number of elections in Ogbaru in the past and what should bother Mr. Governor is to have somebody who will definitely bring victory to APGA.” He concluded.
