Only Peter Obi can salvage Nigerian – Umeh

The Senatorial candidate for Labour Party in Anambra South Senatorial zone, Chief Victor Umeh, has said, the only person who can bring Nigeria out of its present quagmire is Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate.
Umeh who spoke to newsmen recently said Nigeria needs somebody who will put it in reverse gear and it is only Obi who has the competence, capacity and moral strength to do that.

Stressing that Obi is a role model, Umeh urged Nigerians to embrace the “Obidient” movement, which he said is a revolution.

He said Nigeria now needs somebody who has the courage and passion to deliver it from the present dilemma.

The former National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said “Nigerians rate Peter Obi as the best candidate among all the presidential candidates.

“People from all parts of Nigeria, everybody is rooting for Peter Obi. His messages have been driving him,” he said.

Umeh said his determination to return to the upper chamber is to continue his struggle for justice for Igbo race in Nigeria, saying that he played key role in birthing a new Anambra State since 2003.

“The struggle was led by me frontally. I led the revolution that brought the state out of doldrum. I was behind APGA, taking the bullet for the party,” said Umeh.

Continuing, “I am a man of uncommon faith in God. I am a true Christian. I have uncommon passion for Ndigbo. That was why I stayed in APGA. I went under Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu’s tutelage and protection in APGA.”

Justifying his defection to Labour Party, Umeh said a times some actions are inevitable especially when there was thick conspiracy to edge one out of the party he had worked hard to build.

Umeh noted that he had led the struggle for Igbo people in Nigeria, “I was speaking for Ndigbo in order to bring to the fore the problem of my people,” he ended.
