Obi can turn Nigeria around in four years, if given opportunity – Businees Mogul

By Alphonsus Nweze

Prominent Anambra State business mogul and opinion leader, High Chief Gilbert Obi, popularly known as “Bravo” has said that the Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, can turn around NIgeria within four years if given the opportunity to lead the country.

Speaking with newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra State commercial hub, Chief Obi also raised the alarm over Peter’s security, saying that the presidential candidate and his team should do something about his security.

“If Peter manages to get there, the country will change for the better because many of the things Peter do, not many people can do it, even among the Governors. If Peter comes in, Nigeria will be a different country in the next four years,” he said.

But he said that the most important thing now is for Peter to beef up his security because his growing popularity is a source of serious concern to the other political gladiators.

The business mogul said if the NIgerian youths remained consistent with their support for Peter till February next year when the election will hold, there is no doubt that he wouldn’t win the presidential election.

Lamenting the degree of decay in our political leadership, Chief Obi however said that God is punishing Nigeria’s political gladiators with Peter Obi.

“They never knew this type of thing will happen. They don’t know that the whole thing will change. I noticed that almost everybody, even Northern youths are supporting Peter. There is nothing God cannot do,” he said.

He warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), not to allow themselves to be used to manipulate the 2023 presidential election, saying that it was alleged that the former INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega had meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Saudi Arabia before 2015 presidential election.

“Nothing is imposible in NIgeria, but let’s see how they will come up with their game again,” Obi quipped.

He urged all NIgerians to go out, register to obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and vote for Peter Obi before people start complaining about INEC antics. He noted that registration to obtain PVC is very important for every NIgeria.

He advised that people should use the remaining two weeks left by INEC to register but stated that registration of NIgerians should not be truncated by the electoral empire.
In the same vein, he condemed the Muslim-Muslim ticket by the APC in which the presidential candidate of the party, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, picked former Governor of Borno State, Shettima also a Moslim as his running mate.
But he queried why somebody in his right senses will tell Christians in this country that Muslim tickets does not matter.

“My question is, if Christians present Christian-Christian ticket, would they not complain? The problem we have in this country is that people will see what is bad and will not condemn it,” he lamented.

The opinion leaders said that Tinubu had made mistake in his choice of running-mate, even Buhari in 2015 rejected Tinubu as his running-mate on the basis of religion to pick Yemi Osinbajo who is now the Vice President.

“Now that he got what he wants and felt that it does not matter. But God is publishing them now” Chief Obi concluded.
