2023: Youth endorse Obidigwe, Udoba for second term

The member representing Anambra East and West in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, has been endorsed for second term by members of his constituency.

Arising from a meeting held at Abegbu-Iyiora Ward recently, the Anambra West Visionary Youth said that Chief Obidigwe has offered them effective representation in the last three years he was in the green chamber and therefore should get another opportunity to represent them in the green chamber.

Hon. Chidokwe Udevi, President Anambra West Visionary Youth said : “Hon. Chinedu Benjamin Obidigwe, Member representing Anambra East and West Local Governments in the Federal House of Representatives did marvelously well, as such, he should be re-elected.”

The youth used the opportunity to also endorse Hon. Patrick Obalim Udoba, Ezego Anam, member representing Anambra West Local Government Area in Anambra State House of Assembly for another term.

He noted that the duo of Obidigwe and Udoba have barely spent three years, but people erroneously think that they have spent many years at both federal and state houses respectively, because of their performance.

Condemning fake news purveyors, Hon. Udevi maintained that he was not surprised at the rate in which some politicians, social media rats indulge in cheap blackmail and dissemination of fake news in a bid to earn political relevance, advising them to desist from carrying fake news.

Also speaking, Barr. Emma Nwabunwanne, Secretary Anambra West Visionary Youth told newsmen that Hon. Obidigwe has within the space of three years achieved what some people who talk down on him in the name of politics could not have achieved in eight years, saying he has empowered many young and old people in Anambra East and West which no other person among those that have represented us in the past has done.

Mr.Nwabunwanne said those who voted for both Obidigwe and Udoba in the past are happy and would vote them again, noting that majority of people who engaged in destructive criticism were those who are not relevant.

“Criticism helps a good leader to do well, but not destructive criticism, because it comes from enemies of progress. Some want to earn cheap popularity, butvas far as I know, Hon. Obidigwe and Hon. Udoba are good to go for they are doing well. Anambra West Visionary Youth are solidly behind them, and they must surely win,” he said.

In the same vein, Hon. Offoma Okonkwo, said the Anambra West Visionary Youth was not against the collective interest of Ndi Anambra West, pointing out that Hon. Obidigwe and Hon. Udoba would make the dream come true, through their selfless service to the good people of Anambra East and West Constituency.

He called on the responsible Youth of Anambra East and West to support Obidigwe and Udoba, stating that they would take the people to the promise land.

Heads further reminded Ndi Anambra West that Hon. Obidigwe was the first and only Politician in Nigeria who took forty-three members of his constituents to Egypt for an agricultural programme and made them millionaires.

“Let us not make mistake about this coming election. Avoid unnecessary distraction, or sentiment,” he ended.
