Nigerians who fled Country’ll Return If Elected As President – Obi

The presidential candidate of Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has said that if elected the president of Nigeria those Nigerians who escaped abroad because of hardship would return back because he would have made every part of Nigeria to work.

Obi who spoke at All Saints Cathedral Field, Onitsha in Anambra State on Tuesday in continuation of his presidential campaigns said that every part of Nigeria would be involved in food production, so that the country would have enough to eat and export.

He lamented that in Nigeria of today “nobody is safe, families are begging, there are no jobs” but promised that his government would bring these narrative to an end as well as secure and unite Nigeria.

Obi said that he would “negotiate, cajole, beg every group and persons to maintain peace but if they refuse, then they will know we have a government.”

The Labour Party flag bearer assured that immediately they got into power, dollar would start tumbling, urging the people to hand over Nigeria to wealth creators, which his vice, Datti Ahmed and himself belongs.

He said if they are elected, they would do more to pull out the people from abject poverty, reduce consumption and increase production, saying the work of a leader is not to complain but to confront frontally the problems of the country.

“We will not remind you of your past but your future. We will make Nigeria the light of Africa, the light of black race. We will fight poor education, poverty in every part of the country if elected,” said Obi.

He promised to provide enough dams in the North to boost food production, link South East with Abuja from Nzam in Anambra West which would take only three hours.

He also assured that the Enugu International Airport presently shut down would be reopened for international flights, saying that Nigeria would fly to the world through at least six international airports in Lagos, Porthacourt, Abuja, Kano, Enugu and Maiduguri to open up the economy of the country.

The Vice-Presidential candidate of Labour Party, Dr. Datti Ahmed, said the February 25, 2023 is as good as having been won by Labour Party.

He said the Labour Party Government will rescue Nigeria from its current travails which it was plunged into by the current government.

The National Chairman of the party, Mr. Julius Abure, warned Anambra people and the entire South East that any opportunity lost would never be recovered.

Consequently, he urged them to collect their Permanent Voters’ Card (PVC) and come out in large number and vote their own on February 25, 2023.
