Mr Joe Agi, SAN, has sued the National Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) and Abuja Electricity Distribution (AEDC) Plc at the Federal High Court, Abuja for allegedly increasing his electricity tariff by 230 per cent. Agi, in the suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/474/ 2024, currently before Justice Inyang Ekwo, sought the enforcement of his fundamental rights. Civil Society Organisation (CSO) has threatened to drag National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to court if it fails to ban Netflix, Tiktok, and others over alleged broadcast of offensive same-sex contents on Nigeria’s airwaves. A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, fixed May 10 for ruling on an application by former Governor of Kogi, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, seeking an order of setting aside the April 17 arrest warrant issued against him.
