Full financial and administrative autonomy has been granted to all the 774 local council authorities across Nigeria following the amendment of section 124 of the nation’s constitution by the National Assembly on Tuesday. The section provides a consequential provision for the making of the local councils, a full third tier government without undue interference from the state governments. The Federal Ministry of Finance,Abuja published in the Sun newspaper of Monday Dec. 9, 2019, the distribution of revenue allocation to Local Government Council by Federation Account Committee for the month of April, 2019. In the publication, all the local councils were listed according to their States and what they got.
