The Islamic Movement, also known as the Shiites, has filed petitions at the United Nation (UN) and Amnesty International’s offices in Nigeria against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, and the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, over allegations bordering on blasphemy against Islam. The Islamic group also petitioned Egbetokun and Igweh at the European Union (EU) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC)’s offices.
