FCT poll: CDD tasks INEC on timely upload of results on viewing portal

The Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure effective and timely upload of polling unit results on its result viewing (IREV) portal.The Director of CDD, Idayat Hassan, gave the call on Saturday in a statement.Hassan noted that when election results are uploaded on the electoral umpire’s portal in time, it would enhance transparency, credibility and confidence in the process.She also called on the the security agencies to demonstrate neutrality by creating the enabling environment for a fair contest by all contestants…

Diaspora Network commends Senate on electronic transmission of election results

The Nigeria Diaspora Network (NDN) has commended the Senate for backing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the inclusion of electoral transmission of election results in the 2021 Electoral Bill. The Co-coordinator of the United Kingdom (UK) Chapter of the NDN, Dr Aminu Ahmadu, gave the commendation on Wednesday in a telephone chat with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
