Islamic Movement petitions UN, EU, others, demands unconditional release of Abduljabbar

The Islamic Movement has petitioned the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), Amnesty International (AI), including the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), over what its described as “a questionable court judgement sentencing Sheikh Abduljabbar Nasuru Kabara, Kano to death by hanging.” The Islamic group, which also petitioned the Legal Aid Council (LAC), Human Rights Monitor (HRM) and other human rights NGOs, also sought the intervention of all people of conscience for the unconditional release of the cleric.
